Your new website is great. Are we going to return to the glory days when the OS had cricket matches and concerts? Best of luck

I didn't realise the Old Southwellians Society was for all people who went to the Minster School. I have just signed up on the new site and will tell the school friends I am still in contact with to do the same.

Please tell us what you think of the new website. We plan to organise a number of events next year so make sure you sign up for the email newsletter on the site.

Great website, interesting history section with a lot of recent choir history. Perhaps the new website could be the inspiration for the reformation of the Old Choristers Association as well.

Many congratulations on the new site - let's hope for more content and contact from OS existing and new members! Good for me to see some of the photography (scary memories!) but we need more from the 70's.....wish I had some! Andrew Little, London

Notes on new website. The section on school history very good, - note, Reginald Matthews deferred his retirement until 1945 due to wartime staff shortage, and it was Messrs Players that bought Sacrista for the Headmaster's residence and for youngest boarders. The list of members has now been omitted. It was useful for contacting old classmates and should be re-instated. In fact there are no photographs of groups earlier than the eighties, though prints are in existence from much earlier. It appears that we older members have been sideli/ned, - though it may be said that we went to a very different sort of school.

Nice to see the "old codgers" have a web site. Whatever next? "You Tube" and "My Space" perhaps. There must be a few computer wiz kids on board who could set up them up in moments. I was a pupil at The School in the Olden Days. Great times. Things you never apreciate until you've left I've managed to get to a couple of dinners over the years and met up for lunch with a few friends. But, usually I'm working. This year is up in the air at the moment, but I'm keeping my figers crossed. It's always been a great "gig", so good luck if your going. Have a great night. Cheers Alvin/Bill

Thanks for you comments John. The list of members on the old site wasn't up to date and only contained a few dozen names. If you would like to know a member's details please feel free to contact the membership secretary. There is no plan to sideline the older members who continue to contribute a lot to the OSS. We recently received all the photographs off the previous site from Drew Borratt. At some point these photos will be added to the gallery section of this site. I hope you can join us for the annual dinner on Saturday the 15th March.

The website is fantastic, would like to know what happened to the old clan from 1982 to 1988 and are there any other photos being added

Good to see the new up and running again, Hopefully the names of members will be listed again, just to know who is still around and interested in what is going on, I am so far away but will be back in the UK next year I hope for a while. Would be good to catch up with someone from the School at that time.
