Minster School, Society and its History
The Society, established in 1906, provides ex-student of the Minster School, Edward Cludd, Southwell Minster Grammar School a point of contact to meet and maintain ties. The School was founded in 956 making it one of the oldest schools in England. It's charter read' A gift of land by King Edwy of Oscytel, Arch-bishop of York. Thus was created a Chapter, Church and School to teach the singing boys of the Minster Latin.'
