The purpose of this site is to communicate with the former pupils of the Minster Grammar School Southwell, Edward Cludd School and the current Minster School Southwell.

As technology has evolved and the cost and inconvenience of the post has escalated the Society has been unable to communicate effectively. This has been exacerbated by the fact that the Society has little or no income.

We can also recognise that the way people talk, and communicate with each other is changing. In the past the society has produced a newsletter and their have been some excellent examples of these but these have suffered from being out of date as soon as they were published. From the social networking point of view we have had Friends Reunited, MySpace, BeBo and then Facebook and no doubt more ways will evolve. From now on our approach will be base around an excellent web-site coupled with the use of the popular social networking sites to provide links and prompts. We are not going to compete with the latest social networking fashion but use it. We will use photographs, video and perhaps add video links at some future time.

For this approach to work we are going to need participation from the members and we look forward to contributions and some sparking repartee from you all.
