"The Committee has recently been considering the implications to the Society of the Data Protection Act. After making enquiries it appears that the Society is not required to register under the Act. However, the Committee would like members to know that any information held on our membership database will be used only for communicating within the Society, and with outside organisations who may from time to time be associated with the Society."
